Are you looking for a new job? Then we have good news for you. In fact, organizations have an increasing need for flexible employees to be able to move quickly in a very dynamic business world. To do this, they often use interim contracts, which has many advantages for you as well. Find out what role an interim agency can play for you.
As a temporary employee, you get the same benefits as permanent employees. That way, you're just as entitled to meal or eco vouchers, vacation pay, pension or child allowance, and your days worked also count toward your pension. On top of that, you can count on some additional benefits:
Interim work is by definition temporary and can range from one day to several months. The staffing industry works mostly with weekly contracts. However, the fact that interim work starts as a temporary assignment doesn't mean that there are no prospects for a permanent job. For a lot of people, interim work is the stepping stone to a permanent contract or a long-term partnership with an organization with which they just click.
Is it rather flexibility you want? Then you can also work as a project consultant through outsourcing. In this case, you'll be permanently employed by an HR service provider such as Bright Plus, but will go to work for one of their clients through temporary assignments. That way you get the security of a permanent contract, while still getting the chance to gain a variety of different experiences.
So how do you choose the right partner for your interim adventure? Most interim agencies specialize in a particular industry or professional field. So first and foremost, you're going to have to look for a service provider who shares your interests. You can do that by scouring their website and looking for jobs that pique your interest.
Do you like their offerings? Then contact that staffing agency and provide them with your resume and cover letter. They'll be happy to help you with the next steps in your career and are at your disposal throughout the search. Feel free to ask for more information. Find out the way the agency works, the time frame in which they could help you get a job, the companies they have in their client portfolio and how they helped other people like you get jobs.
Remember, their guidance doesn't stop once you set foot inside the company. They'll continue to guide you throughout your interim assignment. You can contact them with all your practical and administrative questions, but they're also happy to assist you with job application tips and tailored career advice.
Have you found the right staffing agency for you? Then you can apply for one of their open vacancies. They will then contact you to properly coordinate your needs and expectations. They often ask you to take some tests to further identify your strengths.
Then the recruiters go to work for you. Based on your profile, they'll look for an interim assignment that fits it nicely. They then introduce you to the relevant company, if you're interested. But don't just sit back and watch either. Do you see an interesting job vacancy? Then you may certainly give the recruiter a proactive heads up.
